So happy to have you here :) I’m Dana, the face behind the florals.
Wildfleur & Whimsy (previously The Polar Peddler) was born in 2020 out of a love for flowers and using my creative passion to bring joy to others. In other words, I’m flower-obsessed.
With 5 years in wedding florals and a background in business and design, I’m a creative spirit with a wildly organized brain that can bring your vision to life without missing a detail.
My studio is based in Freeland, MD, but our team designs florals for events across Maryland and Southern PA.
My floral philosophy:
1. Flowers should be stress-free. Find the right florist that fits your vibe, and the rest will come easy.
2. Matching flowers with a feeling is more about the big-picture design than the individual flowers. That’s why we love working one-on-one to understand your vision first, and then do our floral magic to bring it to life.

We design florals that feel natural, as if they were picked right from the garden. Movement and texture help create the airy, effortless look that we love.

Foam-Free Florals
Floral foam, a plastic product used to build floral arrangements and one of the largest contributors to waste in the industry. At Wildfleur & Whimsy, we’re committed to utilizing alternative options that are both chemical-free and reusable to lessen our impact on the environment.

Locally-Sourced Flowers
We source flowers from local farmers whenever possible. Our designs use the freshest blooms grown right here in Maryland & Pennsylvania! Some of the farms that provide us with gorgeous blooms include:

Eco-Friendly Materials
We use recyclable packaging and biodegradable plastics when creating and transporting our florals. We’re dedicated to reducing waste and source much of our rental inventory from secondhand stores and thrift shops. It’s possible to create luxury without creating waste.
The Story Behind The Logo
Our mascots? Yeah, they’re real. I’m an animal lover at heart—and I have a lot of dogs. In fact, our first dog, Huck, inspired the beginning of this business back in 2020… and as the business grows, I keep getting more dogs.
Meet The Mascots

Huckleberry
Huck is the happiest, fluffiest boy around. He’s a Samoyed—meaning his breed originated in Siberia (hence the floof). We hope that our designs will make you as happy as Huck is 99.9999% of the time.

Millie
Millie is our little spitfire Australian Shepherd. She’s a wild card, but the sweetest little gal you’ll ever meet. She loves to play and also lay on top of your head (not an exaggeration). We love her anyway.

Evie
Evie is our newest addition, and our SECOND Samoyed (yes, we are crazy). We rescued her in spring 2023 and fell in love immediately. Obviously, she had to be added to the logo this year!
